Check-in is after 3:00 PM. Please do not Check-in prior to 3:00 PM.
Check out is by 11:00 am.
You MUST have a deposit minimum of $100.00 to book your reservation. Your card will be charged the full balance 10 days prior to arrival. You will receive directions and the key-code once this balance is fully paid. Please follow these directions as the GPS takes you to the wrong location and the service is spotty.
CHECK-IN IS AT OR AFTER 3 PM NO EARLIER CHECK-IN TIMES ARE AVAILABLE. CHECKOUT IS AT 11 AM
Your entire balance is to be paid no later than 10 days prior to arrival unless the booking is recent or the same day. In this case, all of the funds are to be paid before you receive the key-code and directions. A holding deposit will be placed on your credit card until departure, and charges can be charged if excessive cleaning or damage is done to the property.
NOTE: IF YOU ARE LATE IN CHECKING OUT THERE IS A $50.00 PER HOUR CHARGE. If you check out at 2 pm or later it will be a full day charge. The lost key is $35.00.
If you arrive and for some reason decide not to stay we do NOT offer refunds.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- Canceling your reservation before 6:00 PM (eastern time) TEN DAYS BEFORE YOUR RESERVATION will result in 25% CHARGE.
- Canceling your reservation after 6:00 PM (eastern time)TEN DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR RESERVATION, or failing to show, will result in a charge equal to the first night's stay per room to your credit card or other guaranteed payment methods. Taxes may apply.
- Failing to call or show before check-out time after the first night of a reservation will result in cancellation of the remainder of your reservation.
- Reservations for Holiday seasons: all cancellations will incur a 100% charge, regardless of the date in which the cancellation is requested.
This includes the following dates: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year, Valentine, Holy Week, Spring Break, Memorial & Labor Day weekends, Summer as of May 25 through Sept 6, and ALL of October.
***Once you arrive, if you choose to leave early NO refunds will be made.
Reschedule Option: If more than 10 days of your arrival date, you can pay $35 and reschedule for 90 days. ONE TIME ONLY!
We offer you fresh linens and towels that are placed in your cabins, it also comes with the beginning roll of paper towels, TP in the bathroom, one trash liner, liquid soap for dishes which are in the cupboard, a sample of shampoo and soap. Refrigerator, microwave, and color cable TV.
We DO NOT offer or have Wi-Fi or Internet. Our previous guests have requested not to have it installed. Appliances are in good working order and if you were to encounter a problem please call us immediately. We strive to maintain a good home away from home., but do realize that this is a rental and not the Ritz. We DO NOT offer Daily service to cabins.
Trash Cans are located outside near the road and you are requested to place the trash out before you leave. If you are booked for more than four days you are offered an exchange in towels on your 3 days. Leave the basket outside of your door and housekeeping will come by and replace them with fresh clean ones. We offer daily service for a charge when staying longer.
Cabins do not furnish paper products, soap or trash bags. We strive to maintain the cabins for a comfortable stay for our guests. Appliances and utilities are in working order. if any issues or power failure report to our office immediately. We will resolve the issue.
Pet Policy:
- The Ponderosa units are NO PETS at ALL if you decided to sneak your pet in.
- We will be forced to charge you $199.00 for breaking policy
- Ask you to leave and not refund any of your stay.
- Our other cabins have a fee of $49.00 for your pet stay and a refundable deposit of $150. if all is left well.
- You must sign the Pet Policy before arrival.
There is NO SMOKING in our Cabins. If we detect smoking has taken place in the cabin you will be charged $250.00 for cleaning and disinfecting the whole cabin.
Cell Phones:
You are up at 3500 ft. elevation with limited service Verizon network is the only one that works.
Firewood:
The fireplace is to be used only in season, not in the summer. Due to Insurance company we are no longer able to offer you firewood for the fireplace. You can bring it, or purchase it in town.
Fishing:
Cherokee offers 30 miles of stocked TROUT streams. You don’t need a State license however you MUST purchase a tribal license, you can get that online or when you’re in town. The creek where the cabins are located is a protected stream so NO Fishing is allowed. Anyone younger than 12 does not need a license to fish, however all other ages do. Multiple stores sell these and most open early mornings 7 days a week.

Payment Policy
All payments can be made with a credit card online and/or by calling Miriam Blakely via the phone. Payments must be made 10 days prior to arrival, unless it's a same day booking than you MUST PAY IN FULL at time of booking and call for your key-code. SAME DAY RESERVATION is not refundable for any reason.
